  WHAT IS AN ORI NUMBER?

  The ORI number stands for “Originating Agency Identification” and it’s typically a 9-digit number that is associated with the specific agency. You need to know your ORI number to schedule any Level 2 background check for the FDLE.


  When ordering a Level 2 background check in FL you must use an ORI number associated with the proper Florida Agency. Once the fingerprinting is completed your background check is sent to the proper agency electronically.
